Everything but traditional recruitment? You won’t be chasing purple squirrels and unicorns in this role. In this role, your goal is to make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time when it comes to hiring. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator works closely with colleagues and assigned departments to create job postings, advertise positions, screen, hire, and preboard candidates across various functional areas and locations. In addition, you will lead and support classroom training for hiring managers and support staff and facilitate onboarding sessions for new hires. Interactions with hiring departments and candidates requires exceptional communication, time management and organizational skills as well as experience with technology.
We're currently seeking an organized and outgoing person to join our amazing team as a full-time Talent Acquisition Coordinator to help facilitate and execute the delivery of high-volume recruiting and pre-boarding for the city. Our ideal candidate is customer-focused with exceptional organizational, communication, and follow up skills with a strong attention to detail. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work autonomously but be team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible as we shift responsibilities to best support our rapidly growing city and make enhancements to the services we provide to our organization. Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively supports the needs of city departments and manage recruitment process by partnering with hiring managers and support staff to review, analyze, and clarify job requirements and, understand business operations
- Creates job postings for full time and permanent part time positions
- Facilitates and monitors the pre-boarding process to ensure that key deadlines are met, and all appropriate tasks are completed timely and thoroughly including offer letter, drug testing, background check, certification/licensure (if applicable) reference and employment verification checks. Follows up with candidate when there are challenges in scheduling drug test, request for adverse actions, references, etc.
- Communicates with new hires and hiring managers that new hires are cleared to start
- Facilitates new employee onboarding; completing I-9 forms accurately and processes information through E-Verify
- Leads and supports NeoGov Training for new hiring managers and department admins.
- When new systems/procedures are introduced, assists with preparing training materials, creates Standard Operating Procedures and transition plans in anticipation of any new updates or improvements
- Assists with career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment related projects as needed, which may require evenings and weekends

Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or Office Administration or equivalent
- Four (4) years of direct administrative, human resources, or recruiting experience
- Familiarity with Smartsheet
- Applicant Tracking System (NeoGov strongly preferred)

Additional Information
Knowledge of:
- Applicant tracking systems and other human resources or related technologies, with either demonstrable experience in these systems or the ability to obtain high-level proficiency
- Relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards and maintaining up-to-date and accurate information
- Human resources principles, practices, and procedures, with continued dedication to trainings to maintain current best standards
Skill In:
- Facilitating trainings and leading projects on business processes
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Working directly with hiring managers and candidates through pre-boarding process
- Successfully managing multiple competing priorities and simultaneous requisitions with aggressive timelines using excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication within all levels of the organization and with the public, exemplifying excellent interpersonal skills and customer service
- Conducting candidate phone screens, providing clear and concise feedback, and collaborating with departments on hiring recommendations
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
