This role is responsible for recording payments, maintaining accurate records, and delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Accurately counts money and balances payments or department reports to accounts receivable to maintain appropriate account ledgers.
- Maintains accurate records, filing systems and confidentiality.
- Enters finalized data from receipts and other documents.
- Assists customers and accepts payments.
- Answers accounts receivable inquiries and follows up; schedules service appointments.
- Types or prints routine material and reports; maintains various databases.
- Assists with related special projects.
- Opens, balances, and reconciles parking tickets.
- Opens, balances, and reconciles night deposits.
- Possess knowledge of city demographics and the ability to recite City ordinances related to fees due to the City.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a motivated, problem-solver that has experience working in an accounting office setting. Must be a team player with exceptional customer service skills and strict attention to detail.

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and
- Two (2) years of related experience in accounting and customer service; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Computer and Administrative Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products and accounting and billing software. Ability to perform various administrative tasks including typing at 35 wpm net of error; alphanumeric data entry at 100 kpm net of error; and 10-key data entry at 134 kpm net of error.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING
Applicants will be required to complete administrative testing in:
- Alphanumeric Data Entry (100 KPM net of error)
- 10-Key Data Entry (134 KPM net of error)
