As an Operations Technician at The Monument, you'll be responsible for moving materials, setting up and tearing down event equipment, performing janitorial tasks, and occasionally operating tools or removing snow. This hands-on role ensures our facility stays clean, organized, and event-ready at all times.Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Perform basic event preparation and event setup.
- Performs building custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing floors by hand or using power scrubber; cleaning restrooms; washing walls and windows; vacuuming carpets; and emptying trash receptacles and operating a trash compactor.
- Performs building maintenance duties using hand and power tools as directed.
- Performs grounds maintenance by picking up trash on grounds; removes snow from walkways and parking areas using a shovel, blower, sweeper, sander, and plow; spreads ice-melting materials; mows and trims grass using a mower and weed eater.
- Operates basic equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Commercial maintenance or cleaning experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently in a team setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and climb/balance throughout shifts.
- Must be able to regularly lift/move 10 lbs, frequently lift/move 25 lbs, and occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.
- Requires good vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, heights, and vibrations is common.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, and electrical risks.
- The noise level can be very loud.
