What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reserve Community Services Worker position at City of Red Bluff?
To perform a variety of tasks to improve the aesthetics of the community by working proactively to help eliminate and deter blight within public rights of way, public property and private property. To include planning and executing cleanup operations and mitigating graffiti under the direction of the Police Department and in coordination with other resources within the City and other agency partners. This assignment will also assist with responding to general citizen concerns or issues within the community. Will be responsible for helping improve the overall appearance throughout the community through proactive blight abatement efforts, as well as supporting the department’s overall maintenance needs.
May include City trucks, vehicles, heavy equipment, various types of mowers and weed eaters, pneumatic/electric tools, various other hand and power tools, telephone, computer and/or laptop, mobile smartphone, etc. Hand tools, painting equipment, sanitation equipment and cleanup tools as needed.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Performs semi-skilled and manual work in support of community maintenance and abatement activities.
- Performs all work in accordance with department policies, procedures and standards of quality and safety.
- Operates a variety of light to heavy equipment; sanitation equipment, maintains assigned tools and equipment.
- Drives truck and other equipment; loads/unloads equipment, supplies and materials, etc.
- Abatement of blight, garbage and other debris throughout public rights of way, public property and private property as established by Department.
- Paint and repair City facilities as needed. Abatement of graffiti.
- Interact with citizens regarding use of areas within public rights of way and public property.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
