We are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as our Volunteer & Green Redmond Coordinator. As a Volunteer & Green Redmond Coordinator, you will have a key role in helping leverage the power of our volunteers citywide with our goals for sustainability, tree canopy, and conservation. Passionate about sustainability and volunteerism, this position will work across the department, community and city to achieve our tree canopy and sustainability goals.
As the Volunteer & Green Redmond Coordinator, you will plan, develop, implement and manage the volunteerism programs and our Green Redmond program which coordinates planting events, Forest Stewards, and other sustainability projects throughout the year.
In this role, you will be joining a Parks and Recreation Department with a vision of protecting and enhancing the community’s quality of life by delivering exceptional services. Parks and Recreation embraces their mission to build community through people, parks, arts, recreation, and conservation.
This is an onsite/hybrid position.
This position is full-time and might require some weekends and evenings.

- Three years’ experience in program coordination and development,
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or coursework preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
- Valid First Aid & CPR certifications (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
