Job Description
This position assists with administering and managing the various tasks related to training, and legally required certification mandates for members of the Reidsville Police Department, policy and procedure updates, grant management, career advancement, clerical and administrative support and related work as required.
The position reports to the Administrative Lieutenant.
SALARY RANGE: $49,093.72 β $73,640.58

Job Duties
Coordinates, schedules and facilitates all department training.
Assists with records management to include NC Training and Standards file audits.
Manages policy and procedure in PowerDMS by researching, writing and updating policy per direction from Command Staff.
Provides audio and video records to members for use in court.
Manages bulletproof vest grant process.
Coordinates career development program by meeting with members, reviewing career advancement requirements and mapping pathways for advancement.
Assists with routine office coverage, provides reports to public, answers phones, etc.
Updates RMS system, training records, member information.
Serves as general instructor.
Facilitates and assist with uniform and equipment matters.
Performs related duties as required.

Required Qualifications
High School or GED
Law Enforcement Instructor or ability to obtain certification within first six (6) months of employment.
Experience in law enforcement training and certifications.

Preferred Qualifications
DCI certification, Notary
Physical Demands
Must be able to physically perform the basic life support functions of walking, kneeling, crouching, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Must be able to perform light work which includes exerting in excess of 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Employee in this position is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
