POSITION TITLE : Slide Dispatcher
REPORTS TO : Aquatic Facility Manager, Aquatic Specialist, Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager
FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY : The Slide Dispatcher is responsible for operating the water slides to meet the demands of the general public. The Slide Dispatcher is required to participate in weekly and daily training to demonstrate knowledge or ability to perform work activities.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for operating the top of the water slides.
- Enforce water slide rules to ensure the safety of patrons.
- Ensure the safety of the patrons by enforcing the rules of the facility.
- Sanitize pool deck and facility as assigned by the pool manager.
- Ensure that patrons are staying in their assigned pool section.
- The Slide Dispatcher must be able to follow directions from supervisors and co‐workers.
- The Slide Dispatcher must be able to give directions to patrons while at the facility.
- The Slide Dispatcher must use good safety awareness and judgment. The considerations as listed above are not to be construed as a complete and / or limiting list.
- The Slide Dispatcher must work closely with co‐workers.
- The Slide Dispatcher must work around the general population.
- The Slide Dispatcher has responsibility for the safety of all patrons while at the facility.
- The Slide Dispatcher must work under the supervision and direction of supervisors.
- The Slide Dispatcher must be able to make decisions to assure safety in the facility.
Environmental / Atmospheric Conditions :
Qualifications : Must be at least 16 years of age.
Education : Currently enrolled or have graduated from high school or GED program.
Experience : Must be an experienced / strong swimmer.
License(s) / Certification(s) Recommended : Community First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Preventing Disease Transmission, Automated External Defibrillator.
