The City of Richmond Police Department is seeking a qualified and experienced Administrative Technician, Senior to join the Department's Training Academy unit. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment, while supporting various levels of agency personnel and assisting a diverse public customer base. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess excellent customer service capabilities.

PleasenotethatthePoliceDepartmentbackgroundprocessmaytakeupto 45-60days. An applicant disqualified from the Police background process may reapply a year after disqualification.

The City of Richmond Police Department is seeking a qualified and experienced Administrative Technician, Senior to join the Department's Training Academy unit. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment, while supporting various levels of agency personnel and assisting a diverse public customer base. Duties include but are not limited to
- Answering calls and providing information to internal and external customers;
- Assisting with the scheduling of the academy classrooms and building usage;
- Greeting and assisting citizens/personnel/trainees that enter the Training Academy;
- Programming the marquee ensuring that it stays updated with the most current information pertaining to the building schedules;
- Completing purchase orders and requisition process for the staff;
- Overseeing the cleaning crew and building maintenance issues;
- Supporting events held in the Academy; and
- Performing special projects and other general office duties as assigned.
