What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deerfield Park Field Supervisor position at City of Rifle?
Job Summary:
This seasonal position is responsible for supervising Deerfield regional park for Rifle Recreation activities such as; adult softball, baseball, youth softball, T-ball and coach pitch.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect data and maintain the records of all on-going activities and report them to the supervisor.
- Acts as on-site decision maker when required.
- Verifies that the umpires are at the field on time and have the equipment needed for the game.
- Assists recreation coordinator with development and implementation of special events for site participants when required.
- Contacts umpires if they do not show up, and fills in when needed.
- Records and calls in scores from league games.
- Warns and then ejects fans/players that do not follow the rules, calls police if necessary, fills out paperwork and report.
- Open and closes facilities for public use; set up and tear down for events as instructed.
- Contacts parks department if fields are not lined.
- Helps players, parents and coaches find the field their games are being played on.
Experience and Training:
Minimum Education: No minimum education required.
Job Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old. Must pass a background check with results that are acceptable to the City of Rifle. Must be willing to obtain or already obtain a certification in First Aid/CPR/AED.
This is a part-time, seasonal position with no benefits except sick leave, beginning summer of 2025. The wage range for this position is $15.45-$17.51 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Open until filled.
Salary : $15 - $18
