As a Part Time Transit Operator in the City of Salisbury, you can make a difference! The City is seeking motivated candidates who will drive a light transit vehicle (LTV) on predetermined fixed routes within the Salisbury, Spencer, and East Spencer areas. Main responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, conducting daily operations with minimal supervision, and accurately accounting for riders and other statistical data. Must be available to work any shift Monday – Friday 5:40 am – 8:00 pm and Saturday between 9:05 am – 4:00 pm. Number of work hours and schedule will vary.

Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must have a valid NC Driver’s License and a good driving record
Must have a working telephone service, reliable transportation and be able to respond to job calls on short notice
Experience with driving a light transit vehicle preferred

Salary range: $12.65 - $16.44/hour
$500.00 sign-on bonus after 90 hours and completion of a successful probationary period
