Description
As a Facility Monitor , you'll oversee rental groups in the Lodge at Beaver Lake, the Treehouse, and other City facilities. You'll help make customer events memorable, as we rely on our Facility Monitors to provide high quality customer service, enforce facility rules, and provide assistance to the rental process.
Demand for events is high during evenings and weekends with summer as our busiest season. For this reason hours may range from 4-40 per week.
GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs routine clerical activities supporting groups renting city facilities. Work involves overseeing rental groups in the Lodge at Beaver Lake, Treehouse at Big Rock Park, and other city facilities, assisting in City Hall at the Rental Desk, and monitoring appropriate treatment of rented athletic fields.

- Provides high quality customer service to all rental groups.
- Enforces all policies and procedures specific to the site.
- Assists, as needed, with event setup and breakdown.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-service training courses.
- Oversees the maintenance and proper usage of all equipment.
- Checks for and reports damage(s)and / or hazards.
- Carries out basic maintenance duties.
- Works evening and / or weekend shifts and events based on organizational responsibilities and / or requirements.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) year of comparable customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and / or experience.
Employees must be residents of Washington State and a minimum age of 21 or older if working at the Beaver Lake Lodge, due to the presence of alcohol on-site.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and / or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation and extended periods of time standing and / or walking.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Tasks are regularly performed outside with exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, fumes, temperature, weather, and noise extremes).
