The Position:
A mandatory paid orientation is tentatively scheduled for April 23, 2025, where employees will receive training, safety boots, and the necessary equipment to perform the job. This position will work from 6:45am-4:15pm, 40-45 hours a week, Monday-Friday between April 28, 2025 - May 23, 2025.

Typical Duties
- Operates a Class C license vehicle, hauling personnel, materials, and equipment to and from various work sites;
- Loads and unloads trash and assists in the work required to maintain the cleanliness of the City;
- Represents the City in contacts with property owner, answering questions pertaining to City services;
- Assists in setting up and staffing traffic safety work zones;
- Refers complaints to superior;
- Maintains daily records of activities; and
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- May be required to work odd and unusual hours in the performance of duties and in emergency situations.
- Must be able to perform all of the essential functions of the job assignment.
- A Department of Justice (DOJ) & FBI fingerprinting will be required prior to appointment.
- DMV Record: You are required to obtain a driving record report from the DMV, either in person or online, called a Driver’s License Information Record.

- Tools, methods, materials, and equipment used in construction and maintenance of street and traffic control facilities
- Tools, equipment, and procedures used in landscape construction and maintenance and
- Safety practices and precautions to be used in the course of work

Skill in:
- Performing heavy physical labor
- Using common hand tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, drill, etc
- Bend, stoop, reach, carry, crawl climb, and lift as necessary to perform assigned duties
- Lift up to 50 pounds of static weight
- Operate heavy machinery
