In November 2024, voters approved Measure I, a $400M general obligation bond dedicated to addressing the City’s most critical infrastructure needs. The funds will help revitalize aging fire stations, stormdrain systems, and aquatic facilities—investing in the very foundations of Santa Clara’s growth and resilience. With this major boost, you’ll help bring to life a comprehensive Expenditure Plan that includes exciting projects in areas such as:
- Fire Stations and Emergency Response ($142.2M)
- Parks, Libraries, Senior Centers, and Aquatics Facilities ($115.3M)
- Stormdrain System Improvements ($46M)
- Police Facilities ($43.9M)
- Streets and Transportation ($41.2M)
- Historic Buildings and Beautification ($9.2M)
As Capital Projects Program Manager you’ll have the opportunity to lead multiple complex, city-wide capital projects that directly impact the community. What You’ll Do:
- Manage the implementation of key infrastructure projects across the city, from fire stations to stormdrain upgrades, ensuring that every project aligns with Santa Clara's vision for a sustainable and thriving future.
- Work closely with a diverse team of departments, managing project objectives, priorities, schedules, and budgets.
- Provide regular progress updates to the City Council, ensuring transparency and demonstrating the value of each initiative.
- Drive the successful execution of projects, maintaining a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in public or business administration or an approved related area; and five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
The salary for this position is not funded by the bond proceeds. The pay range for this position is $226,146.36 - $292,638.36 per year, and the starting salary will be based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate. Appointment beyond the midpoint may be considered for candidates with exceptional experience and desirable qualifications.
