Description / Duties & Responsibilities
The City of Santa Clarita is recruiting for part-time, temporary, seasonal (PTS) Recreation Leader Is to lead youth ages 5 to 11 in the Summer Adventures program at the Canyon Country Community Center.
The Summer Adventures program provides youth 5 to 11 with a summer filled with a variety of age-appropriate activities, including STEAM projects, organized sports and games, arts and crafts, outdoor water play, and more! With an environment that fosters growth and development through recreational and creative activities, this program is tailored to engage and inspire. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with youth, being creative, and making a difference in the community.
Summer programs run from June 16-August 8, 2025. Staff training begins on June 9, 2025.
These positions are expected to work up to 40 hours per week based on the needs of the program; Monday-Friday with shifts between 7 : 00 a.m. and 6 : 30 p.m.

In addition, part-time, temporary, and seasonal (PTS) employees may be required to participate in the DMV Employer Pull-Notice Program. This program authorizes the City to receive a driver record report upon enrollment and during employment.
PTS workers are at-will. Generally, PTS employees are limited to no more than 999 hours.
