This position is responsible for participating in the private development construction inspection process.

Reviews and marks details and information for inspections on construction plans. Holds on-site pre-construction meetings. Performs site inspections. Schedules tests and meetings with contractors. Insects water systems, including installation, pressure testing, flushing, chlorination, water sampling and testing, and tie-ins. Inspects sanitary sewer systems, including lamping, pressure testing, mandrel pull, tennis ball drop, lateral stand-pipe testing, video inspections, and tie-ins. Inspects storm systems, including installation, erosion control, tree protection, lamping, video inspections, and tie-ins. Inspects street and pavement construction. Completes pre-final walk-through of the completed site. Schedules final inspections for site closeout. Completes final inspections of the completed site and makes lists of incomplete items. Follows up on incomplete items to ensure correction. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Must obtain a Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission Level IB Certified Inspector certification within six (6)months.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.

Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post-offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
