EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assists with basic and semi-skilled maintenance, repair and landscaping duties in City parks, grounds, and related facilities. Perform janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs, and sanitizing restrooms. Pick up trash and remove litter from all City parks, grounds, and facilities. EBasic and semi-skilled operation and maintenance of equipment including City vehicles, turf mowers, sports field groomer, blowers, weed eaters, edgers, chipper, pressure washer and power tools. EAssists with basic and semi-skilled duties in the planting and maintenance of landscaped areas consisting of bushes, trees, flowers, shrubs, and lawns; water, mow, weed, trim, rake leaves and clear debris from walks, fields, courts, and other facilities. EAssists with maintaining synthetic turf and natural grass athletic fields. Prepare sports fields for reservations and monitor athletic facilities; assuring appropriate rental groups are utilizing the facility. Clean and maintain sport courts. EAssist with Installation and repair of benches, tables, fences, signs, and related structures. EAssist with tree removal and maintenance work for trees on City property including City parks and related facilities. EAssist in the inspection of parks for damage, vandalism, graffiti, broken equipment, and other hazardous situations; document and report conditions to Parks Operations Lead or Parks Operations Supervisor. EPerform related duties as assigned.E denotes an essential function of the job
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Valid Washington State Driver's License. A three-year driving abstract must be submitted prior to hire. Successful applicants must be able to pass a physical capacity test and a physical examination.
