Applications are being accepted for employment as a Full-Time Police Officer for the City of Shamokin Police Department.
Applicants must obtain an application packet at Shamokin City Hall, 47 E. Lincoln St., Shamokin, PA, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M. For more information, please contact City Hall.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America
- Must possess a high school or general equivalency diploma
- Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
All applicants will be subject to an extensive background check, criminal history check, driver record check, credit check, and psychological exam, in addition to a Civil Service Commission Written Exam, Physical Agility Test and Oral Interview. ACT 120 Certification is preferred, but not required.
The deadline for applications to be submitted is 4:00 PM on March 31, 2025.
