What are the responsibilities and job description for the PARKS MAINTENANCE GENERALIST - THE GREENS AT NORTH HILLS position at City of Sherwood AR?
Perform general work for the Greens at North Hills Golf Course, including a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and operation of buildings, grounds, and parks and recreation structures. Provides ground maintenance work. Maintain building operations maintenance policies, standard operating and safety procedures, goals, and objectives. Provide preventive maintenance procedures to assure proper care of equipment. Plan, organize, manage, and participate in all maintenance operations of golf facilities including mowing, edging, and refuse removal. Operate a variety of specialized golf course maintenance equipment. Ability to be work successfully in extreme hot and/or extreme cold temperatures; excessive humidity; slippery and uneven walking surfaces, excessive noise, and other extreme conditions such as noxious fumes, moving heavy machinery, etc. Perform other duties as assigned and/or required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; Three years of experience in repair and maintenance work or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Considerable knowledge of the equipment, materials and supplies used in golf course maintenance. Working knowledge of equipment and supplies used to make minor repairs. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Ability to lift heavy objects and to perform strenuous labor under adverse conditions. Ability to effectively communicate on a one-on-one basis with others. Ability to maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with other employees, department officials and the public. Ability to report to work each scheduled day, and on time.
