Provide GIS support for City programs and projects, as assigned. Function as a technical expert providing guidance, coordination, training, and customer support in the creation, use, quality control, analysis, and publication of spatial data. Support the publication and maintenance of GIS map services and web-based GIS applications. Support the management and update of enterprise geodatabases. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the management and update of mission critical GIS data sets which may include property, transportation, planning, economic, demographic, utility, and administrative data, support of the City's Asset Management system, enterprise GIS platform maintenance, and prioritization and fulfillment of customer requests. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISEDReceives general direction from assigned Information Technology supervisory or management staff

ESSENTIAL AND MARGINAL FUNCTION STATEMENTS Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Essential Functions: Capture, acquire, review, and organize spatial data. Perform direct editing of GIS data, and provide coordination and support of GIS editing by other City staff, including the georeferencing and digitization of new features and assets from plans submitted as CAD drawings and other formats.Receive, prioritize and respond to ad-hoc requests for static and interactive maps, data, analysis, and user training.Design ADA-compliant static and interactive maps.Perform GIS analysis to address questions, provide insight, or produce statistics in support of City operations and business goals.Support asset management by providing direct feature editing, coordination of data updates, schema design and update, design and update of map services, and facilitation of field data collection by other City staff.Assist with monitoring and administration of ArcGIS Enterprise, enterprise geodatabases, file-based GIS data, and desktop software.Develop web-based GIS applications, dashboards, and storymaps in support City business operations and projects.Design or review GIS projects to ensure compliance and compatibility with existing systems and applicable codes, standards, specifications, and practices.Administer Information Technology governance policies to maintain the integrity of City systems and data.Marginal Functions: 1. Participate in special projects as assigned.2. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
