What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Rink Attendants position at City of Shoreview?
Shoreview Parks & Recreation hires 10-15 people to assist skaters at Shoreview's seven outdoor ice rink locations.
The seven rink locations are 1) Bobby Theisen Park, 2) Bucher Park, 3) Commons Park, 4) McCullough Park, 5) Shamrock Park, 6) Sitzer Park, 7) Wilson Park.
Examples of Duties- Promptly open, close and secure the warming house according to schedule
- Assist skaters
- Monitor behavior at the rink and enforce rink rules in a diplomatic manner
- Follow correct emergency procedures
- Maintain a clean facility and rink
- Ensure a fun & safe skating environment
Warming house hours:
Monday - Friday 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Saturdays 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Sundays 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
No school days 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Special hours for New Years Eve: 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Closed: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Note: Hours may vary by location during school breaks.
