Under immediate supervision, greets visitors, answers telephones, and provides customer service support for City activities and services.

Performs customer service tasks in support of Public Works.
First priority is answering incoming phone calls.
Greets citizens and customers; provides directory assistance and general information to callers; transfers calls, takes messages; announces visitors.
Accepts and enters payments for utility services, right-of-way permits, fleet maintenance repairs, compost fees, special pickup tickets, airport fuel receipts and other miscellaneous revenue, provides receipts.
Balances, and takes daily deposits to City Hall; maintains and balances cash drawer, runs batch queries.
Works directly with the Refuse section to include entering work orders, closing work orders, and researching customer inquiries, maintain compost/refuse reports.
Provides assistance and information to customers and citizens with inquiries and complaints; distributes incoming mail; receives messages from main voicemail at Pete Castro Center. Reserves City vehicles for City staff; reserves meeting rooms and schedules meetings. Assists other secretaries in Department, to include processing right-of-way permits, filing, and other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED required.
Two (2) years experience in general office, cashiering, OR customer service.
Driver's license or ability to obtain an Arizona driver's license by employment date.
