Job Summary
Learn to plan and care for a variety of plantings and turf at the Great Plains Zoo at Sherman Park areas.
Lead ornamental planting management practices in assigned areas.
Weekly water management, flower dead heading, weed management, disease/insect control, garden mowing schedule, etc.
Diagnose irrigation issues and perform repairs.
Attend and participate in project management, event coordination, and stake holder relationship functions.
Minimum Qualifications
Students enrolled in a Horticulture, Turf Management, or Parks and Recreation curriculum, or related field, as a full-time student at a college, university, or vocational technical school.
Ability to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work a 40-hour flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
