The City of South Lake Tahoe is currently hiring cashiers for the Recreation Department for the summer season!
Department: Parks & Recreation
Reports To: Recreation Manager
Job Status: Part-time Temporary; Typical time span of seasonal employment is from May through October.
Examples of Duties
All Recreation positions require a disposition that allows effective and positive interaction with the public as required by the position.
The Cashier position is responsible for processing cash, debit, credit, and check transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a recreation retail location. Cashiers must have previous experience with cash handling, excellent customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively both in person and on the phone. Cashiers are responsible for greeting and assisting patrons, answering questions, performing transactions, daily reporting, inventory, handling monies, maintaining a clean, safe, and presentable area for the customers in the recreation center lobby, campground gatehouse, golf course clubhouse, or other recreation locations.

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
