Promise Prevention Manager

Summary

Under the direction of the Deputy Director, the Prevention Manager is responsible for the organization, community outreach, and resource navigation around opioid prevention within the City of South Salt Lake. The Prevention Manager will interact with community leaders, partner organizations, residents and volunteers to facilitate opioid prevention projects and messaging to better address root issues in the City around substance misuse.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties

• Community Prevention Project Management:
  
  

1.1 Uses provided guidance to oversee the Promise SSL Young Athlete Prevention project working closely with the City's Recreation Department and other relevant stakeholders.

1.2 Creates and oversees additional prevention projects and events.

1.3 Manages related grant budgets, reports to grant funders, and seeks out long-term financial support for sustainability.

• Support Promise SSL Gang and Substance Misuse Prevention Coalition:
  
  

2.1 Data collection, analysis, and reporting.

2.2 Attends monthly meetings and relevant additional training.

2.3 Participates in relevant workgroups.

• Afterschool Program Support:
  
  

3.1 Facilitate training for afterschool program staff members relevant to opioid prevention, prevention curriculums, and curriculum fidelity for youth workers.

3.2 Facilitate survey collection and data analysis in relation to relevant prevention curriculum.

• Community Outreach:
  
  

4.1 Facilitate community workshops and learning opportunities related to overall objectives.

4.2 Support community members in navigating related resources and opportunities.

4.3 Act as a liaison between community members and partner resources as necessary.

Due to the nature of this position, the applicant must successfully pass an initial criminal background check, subsequent checks and continuously meet the requirements of the Bureau of Criminal Identification.
