The Athletics Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing high-quality athletic programming and facility operations. This includes coordinating, planning, promoting, and implementing athletic programs while interacting with citizens, volunteers, City officials, and the general public. Additional responsibilities involve performing administrative and technical tasks, executing long-range program goals, managing expenditures, supervising part-time and seasonal employees in the absence of the Athletics Supervisor, and providing essential support to the Recreation Division.
Specific responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing Youth/Adult Athletic Leagues
Coordinating Day to Day Athletic Programming
Managing Athletic Program Budget
Overseeing and managing contract instructors
Training and evaluating Recreation staff

- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Up to two years of relevant experience
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Texas Driver's License.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, American Red Cross CPR Certification.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, American Red Cross First Aid and AED Certification.
- Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) Preferred.
- Ability to remain flexible with your schedule
- The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday during youth sports seasons and will shift to Monday - Friday during the off-season.
- Mornings, evenings and weekends are required for athletic programs.
