Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
- Operates dump truck and flatbed truck.
- Works with and assist heavy equipment operator.
- Operates heavy equipment on an as needed basis.
- Assists with installation and repair of storm water sewer lines.
- Assists with repair, removal and installation of sidewalks and walkways.
- Assists with forming, pouring, and finishing concrete.
- Removes and repairs asphalt.
- Performs regular routine maintenance and service of trucks and equipment.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High School graduation or GED equivalent is preferred.
Maintenance of a valid State of Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 150 days of employment which meets requirements outlined in the city's personal rules and regulation manual with an acceptable driving history.
