Are you passionate about working with kids and creating unforgettable summer experiences? We're looking for enthusiastic Sports Camp Counselors to join our team for the upcoming camp season at St. Peter's Parks and Recreation!
Summary of Position
Sports Camp Counselors are responsible for the safety and supervision of campers, as well as assisting campers in learning and participating in various sports activities and occasionally leading outdoor games. Your role involves guiding athletic skills, ensuring a fun and safe environment, and fostering a positive camp experience for all participants.
Normal Shift: Monday through Friday 9a-3pm
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and facilitating age-appropriate sports and physical activities.
- Monitor and engage with the campers to ensure their safety and participation.
- Support and inspire campers in developing their athletic skills and teamwork.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment.
- Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations, administering first-aid if necessary.
Qualifications or desired qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Prior childcare or coaching experience preferred, but not required.
- A background or strong interest in sports and physical activities.
- Strong communication skills, team-centric mindset, positive attitude, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adapt to various activities and changing needs of the camp.
