Job Summary
The City of St. Peters is seeking a creative and organized Art Specialist (Fine Arts) to oversee and coordinate instructional art camp programs. This role is responsible for developing engaging art programming, supervising daily operations, and ensuring a safe and inspiring environment for participants. Mandatory training for instructors and councilor will take place on May 22-23, and 27th-31st. Camp sessions run from June 2 through August 1, 2025
Normal Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and implement art camp goals and objectives
- Design and supervise art curriculum in alignment with program objectives and City policies.
- Establish and enforce safety and risk management procedures for participants, staff, and equipment.
- Set and uphold standards for program operations, customer service, and safety.
- Schedule, supervise, and coordinate daily activities within the assigned programs.
- Manage check-in and check-out procedures for participants.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with staff, participants, and families.
- Ensure compliance with City safety standards and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
- Bachelor of Arts Degree in related field, and two (2) years of applicable experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) year experience working with children.
