Job Summary
Are you passionate about theatre and eager to share your expertise with aspiring young performers? We are seeking a Theatre Specialist to lead engaging and dynamic theatre programs. This role is responsible for the programming, supervision, coordination, and administrative functions of a theatre-focused instructional camp. If you have a strong background in theatrical arts and enjoy fostering creativity, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Normal Shift: June 16th- 20th, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and implement theatre program goals and objectives.
- Design and oversee a curriculum that includes playwriting, acting, movement, voice, props, scene design, improv games, puppetry, and storytelling.
- Create a risk management plan to ensure the safety of participants, staff, and equipment.
- Set and uphold standards for program operation, customer service, and safety.
- Schedule, supervise, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of theatre programs.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for participants.
- Provide an engaging and inclusive environment that encourages creativity and artistic expression.
- Perform all work in compliance with established City safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
- Bachelor of Arts Degree in related field, and two (2) years of applicable experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) year experience working with children
