Job Summary: The City of St. Peters is seeking a skilled and motivated Multimedia Engineering Support Specialist to join our Communications & Strategy Department. Under general supervision, this role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing multimedia systems throughout the city. Additionally, the Multimedia Engineering Support Specialist will support production activities related to SPTVnow.net, meetings, and events.
Normal Shift: Mon-Fri; 40-hour work weeks (Some weekends and evening required based on City Events and Board meetings.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with research and recommendations for video production equipment purchases for SPTVnow.net.
- Participate in long-term capital planning for multimedia systems.
- Design, install, modify, repair, and maintain video and audio systems and equipment.
- Assist in leading and training part-time communications staff while participating in television broadcast production activities.
- Set up, operate, and maintain various types of audio-visual presentation equipment and transmit audio and video signals.
- Operate studio and field production equipment, produce special videos, edit footage, and prepare studios and sets for productions.
- Design, maintain, and integrate video and data into a digital signage system.
- Operate and troubleshoot broadcast automation, video server systems, multimedia presentation systems, non-linear editing systems, and shared media storage systems.
- Ensure all work complies with established policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
- Associate degree in a related field and three (3) years of experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in supervising a small group of people.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with commercial broadcast, presentation systems, and analog and digital audio/video signal processing.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's license valid in the state of Missouri.
