Job Summary:
The City of St. Peters is seeking a Pool Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair aquatic facilities, including the Rec-Plex Natatorium, The Cove Aquatic Center, and Laurel Park Pool. This role involves water quality management, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a safe, clean environment for visitors.
Normal Shift: Mon- Fri 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Must be available to also work nights, weekends, and holidays based on seasonal and special event needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain safe and balanced water quality for pools and spray pads.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of pool chemicals and testing supplies.
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of pools, decks, slides, and water features.
- Assist with opening and winterizing outdoor pool facilities.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair timing systems and related electrical components.
- Support maintenance of pool filtration, chemical feeder, and UV systems while keeping service logs.
- Assist with aquatic events, meets, and special programs.
- Operate and perform minor maintenance on equipment, power tools, and motorized machinery.
- Perform minor facility repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and electrical work.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
- High School graduate or GED certificate.
- One (1) year of applicable experience.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License valid in the state of Missouri.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and carry it a reasonable distance and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 lbs.
