This is police work involving the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. The Department is accepting applications for Police Officer (Florida Certified Law Enforcement Officers) and Police Cadet (Full Academy Sponsorship Program -or- Equivalency of Training Academy Sponsorship for out-of-state Certified Law Enforcement Officer). Certified Police Officer candidates may be eligible for a new hire incentive payment and a higher pay grade for prior law enforcement experience. Selection Process
Selection Process: Candidates that meet all the selection standards may be invited to participate in the pre-employment screening process to determine the most qualified applicants. The process includes a Physical Abilities Test, Background Investigation, Polygraph, Departmental Interview, Psychological Evaluation and post-offer employment Medical Exam and Drug Test.
