What are the responsibilities and job description for the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER position at City of Stamford, CT?
DUTIES: Under the general direction of the City Engineer or designee, oversees aspects of major building and infrastructure construction projects undertaken by the City including project construction coordination, monitoring, tracking, and reviewing all related documentation; does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field and at least six (6) years of experience in construction engineering, construction project management, management of large construction field office or responsibility for directing and managing all field crews and activities for large construction projects or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
SCOPE OF EXAMINATION: There will not be a written examination. Applicants will be ranked according to their education, training and experience. Applicants are required to fully complete the application form and supplement, listing all related degrees, training and work experience. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
