GENERAL PURPOSE
Organizes and coordinates recreation programs for youth, teens, and therapeutic recreation, including recreation activities, special events and licensed childcare. Work on special projects as required. Designated director for school age licenses.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the general supervision of the Recreation Manager.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Supervises and provides support to full-time and part-time recreation and registration staff, contract and seasonal employees, volunteers, interns, and independent venders.
Commercial Driver and Trainer: Maintains a Class B Commercial Driver License with Air Brake and P2 passenger endorsements and is subject to all state and federal rules and regulations and is included in the random drug screen pool. Trains new full time and seasonal employees on all required skills and procedures to pass CDL exam

Special Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Screen; and
- Must be 21 years of age and possess, or be qualified to attain, a valid Colorado Commercial Driver License with appropriate endorsements; and
- Motor Vehicle Record must show that you have not accumulated more than four points on your license on the past three years; and
- Must be able to comply with City of Steamboat Springs and Steamboat Springs Transit standard operating procedures; and
- Must not have has a DUI in the past 7 years or a DWAI in the past 5 years
