Lifeguarding is a great opportunity to gain valuable job experience, earn good pay, develop/improve communication and interpersonal skills, and it looks great on a resume (a great foundation for jobs in the medical field or emergency services), all while helping the community enjoy the pools.
The City will cover the cost of Lifeguard certification or recertification.
Under the general supervision of the Troll Beach Supervisor and Troll Beach Head Guard(s), the Lifeguard position at Troll Beach is responsible for maintaining the safety of the patrons in and around the pool. They must communicate and enforce all regulations and pool rules in a personable and professional manner.
This position is 25-40 hours per week. The season will consist of evenings June 2 - 6 with a soft opening for a library event on June 7th. The rest of the season is from 11:30 am - 5:30 pm on various days of the week.
This position will remain open until all openings are filled.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must have current certification in Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/ CPR/AED
- Must be able to effectively communicate with the general public and pool staff.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
