Job Purpose:
- To plan, organize, and implement engaging and enriching camp programs for children and/or teens. This role involves managing daily camp activities, supervising staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of campers, and maintaining effective communication with parents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate camp curriculum and activities that align with the camp's mission and goals.
- Supervise and evaluate camp staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by enforcing camp rules and regulations and responding to emergencies appropriately.
- Manage camp logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, equipment inventory, and facility maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camp activities, policies, and camper progress.
- Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, medical information, and other relevant documentation.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with campers, staff, parents, and community partners.
- Resolve conflicts and address disciplinary issues fairly and consistently.
- Adhere to all city and state regulations related to camp operations.
- Evaluate camp programs and make recommendations for improvement.
