What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roving Arts Leader position at City of Tampa Parks and Recreation?
The CART program runs M – F, 40 hours, It runs June 2 - August 8th, for 10 weeks beginning with training the week of June 2. Pay is $15.00 hourly. When applying for this position, the interested party would select Roving Art. Driver's License required.
The program features two teams that travel to 3 community centers per day. Roving Leaders will lead children through an art lesson. Lessons are already written, no lesson planning will be required.
Selected candidates will need to be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, candidates must have sound judgement, be available to work Friday evenings, be able to transport art materials in their vehicles (mileage reimbursed), and enjoy working with children.
Applicants must be at least 18 years or older; possess a high school degree or equivalent; a valid Florida driver's license may be required, be able to commit to a 10-week schedule. These positions implement hands-on art activities and encourage creativity in an artistic environment for children ages 6-14. Visits multiple camp sites, directs youth and performs tasks at an art studio, recreation center, or playground. May be required to participate in both indoor and outdoor instructional activities and work with participants of various ages.
A valid DL is required along with the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
