The City of Topekas Utilities department is seeking an experienced project manager to serve as the departments Asset Manager. This position is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activities and employees of the Asset Management Section. This includes developing and implementing section goals, objectives and department budget. This position is also responsible for asset management planning, project administration and inspection, infrastructure design, and materials and workmanship standards for water, wastewater, stormwater and levee infrastructure.
What you'll do:
- Develop the long-range Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for the Citys water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
- Prepare the asset management plan and coordinate development and phasing of the CIP.
- Design, coordinate and manage utility engineering projects.
- Prepare reports to evaluate and plan for modifications, improvements and replacement for the Citys water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plants, water distribution system, wastewater collection system and the stormwater collection system.

- Knowledgeable in engineering and design principles with experience in contract and project management.
- A skilled problem solver with the ability to make sound decisions.
- An excellent communicator.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in engineering, management or a related field is required.
- Five years of civil engineering experience is required, preferably in water, wastewater and/or stormwater engineering.
- Two years of utility management is required.
- Two years of supervisory experience is required.
- Must be insurable within the standards set by the City of Topekas insurance carrier and must possess and maintain a valid Class C Kansas drivers license.

Annual entry salary: $102,855 - $123,426 Depending on Qualifications
