This position involves a high degree of interaction with employees throughout the city and requires strong interpersonal skills.Responsibilities include: Active Directory management and administration.Network diagnosis and repairHardware implementation (network, PCs, servers, phones, etc.)Microsoft 365 management and administrationA/V implementation, diagnosis, and repairSoftware update/patch managementDiagnose and repair end-user technology issues in a timely mannerManage physical access control systems to all city facilitiesWorks directly with the IT Manager to meet department goals and objectives. Analysis of data and network systems to continuously improve and implement the appropriate technology to assure the best possible solutions to preserve security and efficiency throughout the city.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Information Systems/technology or other related field or equivalent certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco), with three to five years of field experience in computer maintenance and network applications.Experience which indicates an advanced knowledge of computer systems, Windows Server, Active Directory domains, networking and security.Experience working with a variety of communications media (Facebook, X, website maintenance); or equivalent combination of education and experience which evidences the ability to implement, repair and maintain computer systems which will provide data and deliver concise and accurate communication for the City of Troy.---The above is a brief abridgement of the job qualifications.
