The ideal candidate will have a strong\r\ninterest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn and grow in this field. As a cybersecurity\r\nanalyst, you will be responsible for protecting the city government's\r\ninformation systems and networks against cyber threats. This includes\r\nmonitoring and analyzing security events, identifying potential\r\nvulnerabilities, and implementing security controls.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
General Description
\r\n\r\n\r\n Monitor and analyze security\r\n events to identify potential security threats.\r\n Conduct vulnerability assessments\r\n and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.\r\n Implement security controls and\r\n measures to protect information systems and networks.\r\n Work closely with other IT staff\r\n to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.\r\n Provide guidance and training to\r\n end-users on cybersecurity best practices.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Essential Functions
Works with Vendors to establish and maintain standards that meet the business requirements\r\nApplies enhancements, troubleshoots and solves daily production problems, and monitors daily system activities\r\nElicits and documents system and process requirements\r\nDocuments supported web and server applications using established forms and processes\r\nWrites system specifications using established forms and processes\r\nDesigns, develops and tests custom web and server programs\r\nAnalyzes business processes\r\nCommunicates clearly, both verbally and in writing, to both technical and non-technical audiences to inform the user community, management and peers of the work being accomplished\r\nCollaborates with internal business partners to source, select and contract with suppliers to obtain savings, improve product quality, and maintain overall cost competitiveness\r\n
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education Level & Type: Associate's Degree\r\nMinimum Experience Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience working with the applications in a technical or business analyst role\r\n
Preferred Qualifications
\r\n\r\n\r\n Strong interest in cybersecurity\r\n and a desire to learn and grow in this field.\r\n Knowledge of common cybersecurity\r\n threats and vulnerabilities\r\n Familiarity with security tools\r\n and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and\r\n anti-virus software\r\n Strong analytical and\r\n problem-solving skills\r\n Excellent communication and\r\n interpersonal skills\r\n \r\n Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as CompTIA\r\n Security or CEH\r\n \r\n \r\n Prior experience working in a cybersecurity role.\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
