Position Specific Summary
The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst I position at the City of Tucson’s Human Resources department maintains the integrity and reliability of the HRIS systems by providing functional and technical support in the areas of analysis, testing, report writing, and configuration maintenance.
Work is performed under the supervision of the HRIS Manager . This position does not supervise.
Working Conditions:
Mostly office environment. May require flexibility of schedule and ability to work select evenings and weekends.

Analyzes current system functions to maximize value, efficiency, and to identify opportunities for improvement, customization, or training. Advises on system capabilities in collaboration with IT, department leadership, and other stakeholders- .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's DegreeExperience: Two (2) years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Human Resources, HRIS analysis, HRIS administration, or HRIS configuration.
Experience interpreting and applying HR laws, rules, policies, procedures, and practices.
Experience in human resources in a public entity setting.
Experience in promoting diversity and inclusion, with the ability to advocate for diverse perspectives and collaborate effectively as part of an inclusive team.
Professional certification from a recognized human resource/personnel association.
