Position Specific Summary
The KIDCO Recreation Worker position at the City of Tucson is responsible for the planning of activities and oversight of participants, ensuring a fun and engaging experience. Maintains a safe environment and delivers excellent customer service to patrons.
Work is performed under the supervision of a Recreation Program Coordinator. This position does not supervise.

Facilitates recreational programs for up to 20 participants aged 5-11 by following pre-approved program planning and direction from site lead. Assists with the creation of new activities or recreational program options- .

Working Conditions
This posting is specific for summer hours which can vary from 7:15 am to 6:00 pm.
Job sites are located at various facilities throughout the City of Tucson.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
Some high school
Work Experience:
Under one (1) year of directly related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience volunteering in in a recreational setting.
Experience working with up to 20 participants aged 5-11 and providing a safe and fun environment for participants.
Application and Special Instructions
This non-permanent position will work on an intermittent or seasonal basis.Individuals in this classification may not exceed 1,300 hours in 12 months.
Applicants will not exceed 25 hours per week.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid Certification must be obtained within 90
days of hire and must be maintained throughout employment in this position.
