Reporting to the Director of Information Services, the ERP Systems Analyst is responsible for providing exceptional internal customer service for the Tyler Technology New World Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software modules to users. The ERP Systems Analyst ensures timely resolution of user software issues through data analysis, functionality troubleshooting, and excellent communication skills to resolve application issues.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Maintains, manages and updates New World ERP software
- Creates and maintains user accounts using access control settings, including granting users the relevant roles they need to access required processes and data
- Partners with other City IT staff and vendors to ensure that the City's data is protected from a cyberattack or data breach
- Performs verification tests with end users on New World ERP software
- Performs functionality testing before migrating upgrades/updates to production environment
- Partners with New World ERP technical support and City IT staff to minimize unplanned outages
- Serves as a technical resource to New World ERP users to address system issues and improvements
- Provides technical training for end users
- Acts as subject matter expert on New World ERP software and business processes
- Creates and maintains documentation related to the maintenance and usability of New World ERP
- Works with other vendors to develop data interfaces to improve data flow between New World ERP and other City applications
- Uses knowledge of SQL and New World ERP data structure to create ad hoc reports and/or database applications customized to specific needs of department users
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related discipline required or attainment of the following levels of experience:
- 3-5 years of experience or equivalent knowledge maintaining and overseeing an enterprise resource planning application used by a municipality or county
- 3-5 years of experience or equivalent knowledge in mastering database management software/tools, including proficiency in SQL query building and report writing
- 3-5 years of experience or equivalent knowledge providing technical support for end users working in Finance, Human Resources, and Utility Billing
- Experience providing technical support of municipal government applications
- Experience working with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI, Crystal Reports, SSRS)
- Proficient with MSSQL stored procedure creation, job creation, general report automation
- Proficient with advanced MSSQL features to use in automating data delivery, file creation and notifications
- Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Proficient with Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) creation/usage
- Proficient with C#
- Proficient with IIS
- Proficient with Office 365 applications
- Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and networking principles
- Knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Utility Billing, Payroll
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive customer or employee data
- Ability to work under tight deadlines efficiently and with high quality
- Must possess strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail
- Must have the desire to collaborate with multiple departments and serve as an advocate for end users
