Grounds Crew Leader

GROUNDS CREW LEADER duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Individual will effectively coordinate, supervise and train assigned personnel in and during the performance of landscape activities including but not limited to landscape construction, plant installation and maintenance, turf maintenance, litter collection, chemical application and playground installation, maintenance and repair at various schools, municipal sites, and roadways.

• Individual will maintain city roadways throughout the season.

• Perform landscape maintenance or landscape construction.

• Maintain records.

• Prepare employee appraisal reports and daily work reports.

• Ensure the proper application of required safety standards and proper operation and maintenance of relative equipment.

• Interpret and enforce rules, regulations and policies.

• Tactfully, promptly and effectively respond to citizen concerns Prepare written reports Maintain efficient records and inventories assigned tools and equipment.

• Provide special event support as needed.

• Work is performed outside in all weather conditions including temperature extremes*
