Diploma or GED equivalentValid Driver's LicensePreferred1 year of experience in operations, security, or facility management.Job SummaryUnder general direction of the Airport Operations Manager, this position monitors overnight operations at the Waco Regional Airport (WRA) and inspects all facilities and grounds to maintain compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 139, Transportation Security Regulations (TSR) Part 1542, City of Waco Ordinances and all other applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Position acts as a representative of the Aviation Department and provides assistance as required to ensure the safety and security of all airport users.Essential Functions: Patrols, inspects, and monitors WRA facilities, equipment and grounds; verifies effective security of airport property and premises and proper working order of equipment and infrastructure; looks for unusual and suspicious activities and persons.Conducts Airfield inspections consisting of all paved surfaces available for aircraft to taxi, takeoff, and land on. Issues work orders and/or NOTAMs (Notice to Air Mission) as required.Opens, closes and secures buildings and facilities; assists stakeholders, tenants, and guests as needed.Utilizes a work order system to report and monitor discrepancies.Responds to various types of emergency situations and coordinates with first responders until relieved by Airport Management.May be required to respond afterhours, including holidays and weekends, in the event of a departmental or City-wide emergency.Communicate with multiple agencies using various forms of communication including written, verbal, and radio based communication.
