Minimum Starting Salary depends on qualifications.Minimum Qualifications: Required: Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.5 years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in an IT or government settingPreferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationPosition Description: The IT Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of enterprise IT software projects at the City of Waco. This position will work closely with the IT Manager of Project Management and various stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The IT Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and facilitating communication among team members and stakeholders.Position Responsibilities: Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.Coordinate project activities, ensuring that tasks are assigned and completed on schedule.Maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and status reports.Facilitate communication between project teams, IT leadership, and other stakeholders. Organize and lead project meetings, providing status updates and action items.Assist in resource allocation and management, including assigning tasks to team members. Collaborate with department managers to ensure the availability of required resources. Track and report on resource utilization throughout the project lifecycle.Monitor risk factors and initiate corrective actions when necessary. Identify and assess project risks and issues.Collaborate with the IT Project Manager to develop mitigation and contingency plans.Ensure that project deliverables meet established quality standards. Perform quality reviews and validations to verify that project objectives are met. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary improvements.Assist in tracking project expenditures and ensuring adherence to the approved budget. Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to project costs. Monitor procurement processes for project-related goods and services.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project charters, scope statements, and change requests. Generate regular progress reports for IT leadership and stakeholders. Assist in post-project evaluations and documentation of lessons learned.
