GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The City of Wagoner building maintenance must keep City buildings to which they are assigned, cleaned and maintained to the satisfaction of the City Administrator and City Clerk. This position is responsible for maintenance at all City owned buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Keeps City buildings(s) in a clean and operational condition, to wit: a. Sweep and mop or scrub hallways and any rooms that are without carpeting. Wax or buff floors when the need arises. b. Empty trash. Wash out trash receptacles when needed. Takes trash to dumpster. c. In kitchen, wash any dirty dishes and put them away. Clean up kitchen, clean counters, coffee machine, stove, tables, chairs, cabinets, etc. d. Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, fill tissue, fill soap dispensers. e. clean off all counters and dust desks, counters, file cabinets, and tables by lifting objects and replacing them where found after dusting. f. Vacuum carpeted areas, thoroughly, including along walls, under desks, etc. using such attachments as necessary and moving items and furniture as necessary to clean entire carpet. Vacuum off chairs. Vacuum any enclosed entryways into buildings. g. Wipe down tables and chairs in all buildings. h. Clean glass mirrors, windows, doors, etc. i. Wipe down walls, or "spot cleans" them when necessary.
2. Advise City Purchasing Agent when supplies and equipment are needed.
3. Perform minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, and adjusting door handles, and monitoring and adjusting irrigation systems
4. Troubleshooting issues to determine necessary repairs
5. Performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, such as repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures
6. Performing routine maintenance on building systems
7. Assisting with any upkeep of all facilities
8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum requirement; general educational background high school completion, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
