Position Summary
The Public Works Supervisor, under the direction of the Public Works Director, is a supervisory, hourly position responsible for overseeing the operations of the Street, Water/Wastewater, Parks, and Electric Departments. This role involves managing daily projects, supervising both full-time and part-time employees, and ensuring compliance with city policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and possess strong communication and leadership skills.
Essential Job Functions
- Direct and supervise the operations of the Public Works Department, including Electric, Water/Wastewater, Street, and Parks divisions.·
- Monitor and maintain departmental budgets, authorizing expenditures as necessary.·
- Develop equipment specifications and obtain pricing for supplies, materials, and equipment.·
- Conduct performance evaluations for department employees and implement disciplinary actions when necessary, in coordination with Administration.·
- Prepare and present reports and cost estimates for Public Works projects.·
- Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations and policies.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $72,800.00 per year
