Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.

- Write detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations.
- Enforce traffic laws and regulations, issuing citations as needed.
- Engage with the community to foster positive relationships and promote public safety initiatives.
- Manage conflict situations effectively using conflict management techniques.
- Provide first aid and CPR when required in emergency situations.
- Handle animals safely during incidents involving wildlife or domestic animals.
- Utilize surveillance techniques to monitor suspicious activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or related field is preferred.
- Completion of police academy training is required or currently enrolled in MO Peace Officer Academy. MO POST license.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of criminal investigation techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Proficiency in report writing for accurate documentation of incidents.
- Ability to handle firearms and other law enforcement equipment safely and responsibly.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with the public and colleagues.
- Must pass a background check and meet physical fitness standards.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience in animal handling is a plus.
