COMMERCIAL BUILDING INSPECTOR
Building Inspections Department
Full Time – Hourly starting rate $29.89
Position Open Until Filled
General Purpose of Position
Provides code enforcement of all City building codes
Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Conducts annual or semi-annual fire, health, life safety commercial occupancy inspections
Conducts residential and commercial plan reviews for compliance with appropriate statutes, ordinances and codes
Performs other duties related to inspection and code enforcement functions
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma; Three (3 or more) years of related experience and/or training in construction, engineering or a related field
Licenses and Certifications
The person in this position must have or obtain within two years of employment the following International Code Council certifications: NFPA Certified Fire Plan Examiner. Must have a valid Missouri driver’s license.
